Instructions to participants:

We will first set up the altar next to the firepit and light the Sacred Fire.

Please feel free to place upon the Altar any items that have Personal or Spiritual significance.

We will all gather in a Circle, facing the Fire & Altar.

Dedicant will begin by casting a Circle, honoring the Four Elements and The Great Spirits of Earth & Sky.  Please feel free to honor the Elements and Directions in whatever manner you are most comfortable with.

(Cast Circle.  The Statement of Purpose is read by HPS.)

(Dedicant kneels before the altar to offer her vows.)

Consecration Vows

We are also gathered here today
To witness my vows to the Lord and Lady;
To be their willing servant,
To act as a Priestess of Shamanic Wicca,
And to acknowledge my role as an Ordained minister.
May I be guided always
By Wisdom and Love
(Wash hands in Silver Bowl)

I vow that mine shall be a practical ministry,
Teaching practical healing techniques,
And I shall not proselytize my personal beliefs.
(Add sage to fire)

I vow I will offer help to those who seek my aid,
To the limit of my Strengths and Wisdom.
(Add sage to fire)

I vow that I will not violate the Trust
Of those who entrust it to me.
(Add sage to fire)

I was called by the lady to be a Passageway to the Light.
May I be a window through which
One may view an aspect of Divinity.

I Journey on my Path,
And Aid those who ask to Join Me.

I shall take these Vows to the end of the Path laid before me.

(HPS Anoints Dedicant’s hands & brow with Oil, saying:)

With Consecrated Hands, Make Whole the Broken

Gifts of the Spirit:
(The newly anointed Priestess then passes around the Circle to ask for Blessings from participants.  When done, she rises and takes cloth bag from altar and holds it up to East.  Invoke the Element of Air.)

Starting in the East, a bag of Incense will be passed around the Circle.
As the bag passes through your hands,
Bless the Incense with the Energies and Powers of the East.
As the bag passes the Circle a second time,
Reach in and select a stick of Incense.

(Take cloth bag from altar and hold up to South: Invoke the Element of Fire.)

Following with the South, a bag of Candles will be passed around the Circle.
As the bag passes through your hands,
Bless the Candles with the Energies and Powers of the South.
As the bag passes the Circle a second time,
Reach in and select a Candle.

(Take cloth bag from altar and hold up to West: Invoke the Element of Water.)

Following with the West, a bag of Sea Shells will be passed around the Circle.
As the bag passes through your hands,
Bless the Shells with the Energies and Powers of the West.
As the bag passes the Circle a second time,
Reach in and select a Shell

(Take cloth bag from altar and hold up to North: Invoke the Element of Earth.)

Following with the North, a bag of Stones and Crystals will be passed around the Circle.
As the bag passes through your hands,
Bless the Stones with the Energies and Powers of the North.
As the bag passes the Circle a second time,
Reach in and select a Stone or Crystal.

(Take cloth bag from altar and hold up to the Sky: Invoke the Element of Spirit.)

Following with the Element of Spirit, a bag of Seeds will be passed around the Circle.
As the bag passes through your hands,
Bless the Seeds with the Energies and Powers of Spirit.
As the bag passes the Circle a second time,
Reach in and select a packet of Seeds

(When all guests have selected their gifts, Priestess says:)

We will now Drum the heartbeat of the Earth
To Raise Energy and Close the Circle.

(Start heartbeat rhythm slowly, then gradually build tempo.  Guide Circle to build energy, then release it together.)

We Give Thanks to the Energies of the Universe
For their Presence in our Lives and in our Circle.

(Dismiss the Quarters)
