We spell magick with the extra “k” simply to distinguish it from sleight-of-hand stage magic. Magickal energy surrounds us all, and radiates from all matter. It’s the Universal Life Force... the Divine energy that is expressed in all life.
I can sense magickal energy, and so can you, and so can everyone you've ever met. You probably just didn't have the words to describe it or recognize it. For example... have you ever "felt" someone watching you? The person watching you was directing their attention to you, and focusing their thoughts on you. You sensed that focused attention, and looked up. That "focused attention" is an expression of magickal energy.
This is how we "do spells"... we focus our attention on what we need to have happen. The Universe then "looks up" at us.
An excellent way of learning how to sense and work with magickal energy is to learn how to "feel" your own aura.
