"Do you believe in psychics?"
I believe that we are all born with such gifts as precognition, telepathy, clairvoyance, etc. Some people seem to be born with a more natural grasp on the functions, however. Very young children often display extraordinary feats of intuition, although sadly, this usually fades by the end of their toddler years.
Any time you have followed a "gut hunch" or intuition, you have been drawing on your "psychic" talents. Some people appear to be naturally better at this than others, but I think that nearly everyone can improve the use and accuracy of these gifts with patience and practice. Its possible to recover those innate gifts, no matter how long they have gone unused.
A lot depends on how you use the gifts that you have... a person could be born with perfect pitch and never pick up an instrument, while another person like Beethoven could be a deaf musical genius. If you can identify an area of psychic strength for yourself, capitalize on it. The more you actively use and trust your intuitive gifts, the stronger and more reliable they will become.
It seems weird and awkward at first, but you can practice and improve these skills. An important part of this practice is meditation. Start out with basic concentration exercises if you are intimidated by meditation. It is a very useful skill that can pull you through very difficult times.
You can practice seeing auras by deliberately taking time to Pay Attention... everywhere you go, pause for a moment and concentrate on seeing the aura... when you do see something, explore the experience, and find out how it fits with you.
You can practice psychic skills by using common playing cards or a Tarot deck to practice your prediction skills. If you have a partner to practice with, you can take turns sending and receiving images from the cards. Or you can have a neutral party hide objects in a box, and practice reading the contents.
It can sometimes be discouraging, but be persistent. These gifts get stronger with deliberate use.
