What is the Universal Life Force?

This is the subtle energy present throughout the universe, present in both matter and void.
It's the energy that makes atoms spin out of orbit and the seedling surge from its shell.
It's the energy that is present in all living things, and all inanimate objects.
It’s what the physicists are trying to explain with their Unified Field Theory.
It’s a complete description of the how’s and why’s of the universe, and how it operates in space-time.
(Scientists are our modern mystics, after all.)
It can also be equated with the concept of “The Force” in the Star Wars saga.

Many Wiccans attribute some degree of “responsive consciousness” to this Universal Life Force, meaning we feel this Force is “awake and aware”, for we consider this Universal Life Force to be the essence of Divinity. This energy is often conceived as being dual in nature, like the balance found in yin-yang. Therefore we often conceive of this “Universal Life Force” as a God and Goddess... just two aspects of one universal energy. Wiccans use their understanding of how this energy flows to make useful changes in their lives and in their connection to Divine.
