Love is a theme that winds its way through much of what I write, because it’s the energy which propels me towards my Purpose. For me, Love is the very essence of divinity. It is the energy that holds the universe together. It is ultimate truth, a sublime and awesome force that makes the soul burst forth from the boundaries of the heart.
I think we put up barriers around our Love... that inner core of radiance that is the essence of the Universal Divine. I think a lot of us, even most of us, are out of touch with this inner essence to some degree. The goal of my spirituality is to strip away the layers that keep me distanced from it.
I think of Love as the main component of enlightenment. Our current culture mummifies us in layers of conditioning, programming us with a feverish need to consume, and attempting to define our Purpose by telling us what we should want and strive for.
If we're diligent, we can find a truer self. Onion-like, we can peel the illusions away, layer by layer, until we reveal our true selves at our center... the center of stillness... the center of Love.
I meditate in an effort to free my love. I strive to strip away the last layer of illusion that keeps me from that place of perfect unity. Some days I'm quite close, and blinded by the light. Some days it's seen but dimly. But at those moments when my Sight pierces the last veils that bind my heart, and I step into the center of my soul, my Love is freed and my spirit surges to encompass the Universe. I am expanded and connected to all. I seek that unitive moment... freeing my Love... being one with Love...
Love is a place within me, the divine source, the only place I can ever be. Only illusion makes me forget. I seek to remember.
