Family Camp Altar

Family camp altar
When my family camps at Pagan festivals, we typically set up a little family altar as a place where we can safely place all of our special things. Nothing fancy, an old towel on the grass becomes the altar space. We place it between the flagged stakes in a place where it won't likely be stepped on. Note the compass so that we can orient on the directions in unfamiliar territory.

This is also a good place to charge working tools, since they absorb a lot of solar energy, as well as the energy from the festival itself. We never place blades or other items that can cause harm in the hands of children.
