| This is a fetish in the sense that it is "an object regarded with awe as being the embodiment of a potent spirit or having magical potency"... This bird fetish was gifted to me in the "Magickal Gift Circle" at the Pagan Spirit Gathering in the early 90's. It was handmade as a working tool, and then passed on to me with love. The body is made from a deer antler. There is a crystal point at the tip. The eyes are of green jade, the beak is of blue tiger's eye. Green irridescent feathers are attached with a leather "collar". The antler is painted in bands of blue, red, and yellow. It fits well in my hand, and I use it to direct energy during shamanic healing work. |
