From her rounded belly springs
an exuberant abundance of all life.
I press my feet into the living earth,
lay my cheek against the breast of
She who sustains all Life.
My roots grow deeply
and I arise renewed, a mountain,
feeling the pull of my own mass,
yet rising, reaching, growing, uncurling,
blossoming into the nurturing joy,
the passionate expression of Earth love.
I trace a circle in the sand and
sit within, embraced, connected, nourished,
watching the mighty forest reaching out wide
and breathing their love of earth,
the verdant realm of the Antlered God,
guarding and sheltering the life that She brought forth.
The gateway to death is Hers as well,
Her gift to all that lives,
Her final embrace,
Releasing the husk of life
back to the energy of Earth,
absorbing, transforming, regenerating
the very essence of Life
into new life, yet again.
