Celebrations and Rituals
"What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals."
   - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Celebrations and Rituals express the spirit of Wicca. Here you'll find several examples of original rituals, ceremonies, and celebrations that have been marked on the Wheel of the Year. To learn more about the holidays on the Wiccan Wheel of the Year, click here.

A lot of the ritual that you do will depend on what your "comfort level" for ritual is. I have a "high tolerance" for ritual: I like candles and chalices and athames and all of my other "spiritual toys". Some people have a low tolerance for this type of thing, and are happiest when rituals are completely impromptu and have no "props". As you begin to do ritual, you will learn what you feel most comfortable with. If you plan to remain a solitary, then your "ritual skills" won't be an issue. If you ever plan to celebrate holidays and such with others, you should probably at least be familiar with the "typical" ritual formats that are commonly used.
