How to Break a Curse
Confidence is the Cure

A person who feels that he is cursed is the perfect candidate for a magickal cure. He is already firmly fixed on the idea that magick is possible, since he believes that he is suffering from the ill effects of magick. To break the curse, you can harness that belief and channel it into a ritual that will alleviate the situation for him.

You are already as powerful as you need to be to perform magick of this kind. What you really need for it to be effective is to have total confidence in your own ability to be successful. You must convince him that you *can* lift the curse or perform a healing ceremony. And he won't believe you unless you believe in yourself first.

A good method to break a curse is to create a healing ceremony for him. Have him prepare for the ritual by taking a cleansing bath. Set up a sacred space where you can have a half hour of peace and privacy. As he enters the space, smudge him with sage, or asperse him with water (or otherwise bless and sanctify him as he enters). Lead him to the center of the space, and seat him comfortably. Create Sacred space in whatever way seems appropriate. (Cast a circle, light a candle, say a prayer, or however you wish).

Next, include some activity that will symbolize severing a connection between the participant and the "curse". Perhaps you could sweep his aura with a feather fan, brush him off with a broom, cast a tight circle with an Athame, or cut a string that has been bound to the participant somehow. The point is to cleanse him, breaking any connections he might have to anything negative, or that doesn't belong to him.

Finally, conclude with building a "shield" for him, and pour every ounce you've got into making the tightest one you can. Use every element of ceremony and magick you can muster, to really convince him that he's safe.

At the conclusion, after grounding, go out and do something nice to celebrate together. Have a drink and make a toast to his health and future happiness. So mote it be.

Blessed be.
